What Soccer Equipment Is Needed?

For safety, Alberta Soccer does not permit players to wear any jewelry during games or practices. This includes:

• Earrings

• Necklaces

• Bracelets

• Bobby pins

Taping jewelry is not considered sufficient to prevent injury.

Required Equipment for All Players

• Soccer shoes (see specific shoe guidelines below) - Not provided

• Shin pads (mandatory) - Not provided

• Water bottle - Not Provided

• Clean jersey, shorts, and socks (wash frequently)             *Jersey is provided by association for all age groups* *Shorts/Socks are provided for Intro/U5/U7*

• Shin pads can be washed and air-dried (avoid hot dryers, which can damage jerseys)

 Shin Pad Fitting Tips

• Follow the size chart when purchasing.

• Should cover the area between the ankle and knee.

• Must fit snugly and sit at least 2 inches below the knee.

• Socks must fully cover the shin pads.

  Generously provided by Tim Hortons and our association. Players may keep their jerseys at the end of the outdoor season.
